I am so excited to teach reading and writing to your children! The first few weeks of school are primarily setting routines, getting to know the students as learners and people, and completing required assessments!
Our first novel will be based from our anthology book. The novel is, Because of Winn Dixie. We will read an excerpt from the story first. Then we will begin the novel. Students will work through this novel focusing on Comprehension-Inference, Sequence, Author's Purpose, Summarizing text, Story Elements/Structure, and Suffixes.
